The Museum of National History presents rich collections of the folk art and history of Vysoké nad Jizerou and its surroundings.
The National History Museum in Vysoké was established in 1930 and since 1954 it has been situated in the building of the former district court. It houses rich collections of the folk art and history of the Vysoké nad Jizerou Region. The main attraction of the Museum is the moving crib made by the blacksmith Jan Metelka. The permanent exposition also includes a gallery with a collection of paintings donated by J. Mečíř.
The exposition presents the development of the production and utilization of skis, the amateur theatre since 1786, painted furniture and other items.
The rarity is the moving crib made by Jan Metelka from Sklenařice dating back to 1878-1914.
