Janské Lázně – Černá hora express cableway (year-round)

Eight-seat cableway to the top of Černá hora (Black Mountain).

The original cableway from Janské Lázně to Černá horawas launched as early as 1928. The current cable car with a length of 2,300 m has eight cabins and in summer it is free to carry mountain bikes and scooters. The upper station is the starting point for a series of ridge hikes.

The elevation of the cable car, which is open during the winter and summer seasons, is 566 m. It takes tourists approximately 7.5 minutes to get from the lower station Janské Lázně at a height of 694 m above sea level to the upper station of Černá hora at an altitude of 1,260 m above sea level. At the top of Černá hora there is a lookout tower Panorama.

For tourists the chairlift offers a quick way to arrive at the marked trails at Liščí horu (Fox Mountain) or Pec pod Sněžkou. There is also the Černohorská rašeliniště (Black Mountain Peat-Bog) nature trail.

Cyclists can take advantage of the long runs to Janské Lázně, Černý Důl and Lánov as well as the first Krkonoše Mountains cycling nature trail.
